About me and LacyLove Studio

Thank you for visiting my website. I am very happy to see you here!
My name is Marta. I am the owner and designer at LacyLove Studio. I'd love to tell you my handmade story and show you some scenes of my crafting life.

I’ve been addicted to handmade since the very childhood. I fell in love with seed beads when I was just a few years old. I still remember the moment when I opened a beautiful wooden box with an eagle stretching it's wings and saw colorful strands of acrylic beads inside: red, yellow, blue...

This is one of the beaded works I made when I was a kid :)

I was so excited that I couldn't stop touching them.

When I went to school me and my friend gathered together and spent the whole days making bracelets and necklaces. I was so happy at that time and I understood that I wanted to make jewelries and sell them to make people happy too.

Wire wrap story

I remember my first time when I first saw copper wires in my father's garage. I was very small, but I asked my father to give me his transformer coil and started to twist wires into easy, but very sweet rings, cross pendants and earrings.

This is a flower I made when I was around 8 years old :)

One day someone showed me how to make flowers with twisted wires and yarn. It was twenty years ago, but my parents still keep them in the cupboard. Each time I visit them I open the cupboard, take those flowers and smile thinking about my childish years.

In 2014 I discovered wire wrap technique and fell in love with it. In January 2015 I started to look for good wires and tools in hardware stores and started to learn.

I used to work with wires from computer network cables :)

The problem was to find the wires of exact diameter that can be used for jewelries. The shop consultants looked at me as if I was crazy and they were always very surprised when I asked them to cut short pieces of different cables. It was fun to watch them, because they didn't know why I needed these pieces :).
